Structured data

A hidden label that tells search engines and AI exactly who you are.

What it is

People read your website. Machines are better at reading labels. Structured data (also called schema) is a small block of code, invisible to visitors, that states your business facts in a standard format: name, address, phone, hours, service area, services, license and the like.

For local businesses the key labels are LocalBusiness and its specific types, such as RoofingContractor or LegalService.

What it costs you

Without it, Google and AI tools have to guess your details from the page text, and they sometimes guess wrong. With it, you give them the facts directly, in the language they were built to read.

It doesn't rank you by itself, but it removes doubt. When your website, your listing and your structured data all say the same thing, search engines and AI tools trust those facts more.

How we fix it

We write structured data for your homepage, contact page and each service page, test it with Google's own tools, and keep it matched to your Google listing. When anything changes, such as hours, phone or a new service, we update both together.
